666 5th Ave Makeover

Brookfield reveals a $400M renovation (more like redevelopment) of the troubled building including a new address ------> 660 5th Ave. New renovations for the commercial building include a new glass exterior, floor-to-ceiling windows, revamped rooftop spaces, updated mechanical systems and reconstructing the lobby to include a retail amenity. In 2008 Kushner Companies bought the building for $1.8B and had been struggling to find tenants while taking on massive debt. Relief came when Brookfield inked out a 99yr ground lease last year giving them control over leasing, operations, and development.
