Real Estate's Reopening

As you know, New York City began Phase One on June 8th, which included the resumption of nonessential construction and manufacturing, in addition to certain nonessential retail businesses. Commercial office buildings, office-based tenants, and real estate services will restart operations in Phase Two which is slated to commence June 22nd.

Once we're in Phase Two, real estate showings will be allowed with new guidelines and procedures in place. Some examples include a Health Screening Questionnaire Form which will have to be filled out before showings, open houses are by appointment only, masks must be worn, only the seller’s agent opens doors, cabinets, etc, as the buyer or buyer’s agent will be asked not to touch anything inside the property at any time (with the exception of essential surfaces such as handrails, etc.)
